Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Launches Statewide Survey System

Two years after completing our first statewide visitor survey, the Tourism Association of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V. is once again conducting a visitor survey with us. The aim is to provide well-founded insights into current issues and continuously monitor key indicators. The survey targets both overnight and day visitors.

A Thoughtful Methodological Approach for Reliable Results

The survey is based on the proven concept of the Comparative Visitor Monitor (VGM). It is conducted primarily through an online questionnaire, supplemented by printed surveys. This methodological mix, combined with various tools to activate survey participants, is key to generating meaningful results.

VGM Visitor Survey System for Maximum Efficiency

With the VGM Visitor Survey System, we are implementing a new and highly efficient system for conducting the survey.

It consists of three core components:

  • A statewide online survey tool, customisable for regions, destinations, and businesses
  • A centralised data system, allowing real-time collection, consolidation, and analysis of all visitor data
  • A user-friendly dashboard, providing flexible analyses and target group-specific evaluations at any time

This system enables the efficient coordination of visitor surveys across the state, leveraging valuable synergies and establishing data-driven tourism management at all levels.
