Tourism is increasingly becoming the subject of economic and socio-political discussion. It is not only travel activity that plays a role, but the entire complex of "tourism" with its supply and value-added chains and their economic, ecological, and social effects. Tourism is a development factor and a market that is becoming increasingly international and globally connected. Germany is not only an important source country but is gaining increasing interest as an international destination.

What role does tourism play in international cooperation? What significance does Corporate Social Responsibility have in tourism? What does the market demand for tourism consultants? Taking Bonn as an example: How does international tourism work? These are the key questions of our symposium. Keynote speeches by experienced practitioners will introduce the thematic blocks. In the moderated discussion, questions are dealt with which are intended to give an up-to-date picture of tourism as a consulting task.

The excursion on the following day will deal with economic-geographical and urban planning issues of the "international destination Bonn". A poster exhibition gives the opportunity to present topics and to get to know new work in tourism.
