Comparative Visitor Monitor (VGM) enters sixth year of survey with new participants

For the first time in 2016, not only tourist municipalities but also tourist regions will participate in the VGM.

Participation in the VGM was previously reserved for tourist municipalities. Now we are opening the instrument to tourist regions as well. The Middle Rhine Valley and the Waldecker Land are the first to do so.

Particularly interesting for regions: The cities of the region can also request full reports of the standard VGM - based on the regional questionnaire - and operate continuous quality monitoring at local level.

In 2016, many renowned tourist destinations will again be included, such as Ahrenshoop, Bad Aibling, Bad Zwischenahn, Borkum, Cuxhaven, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Kühlungsborn and many more.

Why do more and more tourism destinations use the VGM for continuous guest monitoring?

  1. because the VGM provides reliable data and thus a sound basis for decisions.
  2. because the comparison with other tourism destinations is an essential factor for interpreting the results.
  3. because it is so cost-effective that it can be used as an instrument for continuous guest monitoring.

The official registration deadline for VGM 2016 is 30.10.2015.
