Tourism Mission Statement, Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar. A kick-off workshop has been carried out in the Ministry of Road, Transport and Tourism, on the 20th of April 2006, to develop the tourism mission statement for Mongolia.

The involved stakeholders in the planning process representing the following institutions: Mongolian Tourism Association, Mongolian Hotel Association, Mongolian Guides Association, tour operators, international donor agencies and representatives from the tourism department of the City of Ulaanbaatar and the Ministry.

The agenda of the day covered the current market position of Mongolia, products and travel forms, identification of the main target markets / groups and the image profile of the country.

A second workshop will follow on the 24th of April to define the vision, mission statement and the objectives for the tourism development of Mongolia.
